These games reinforce the concepts taught during a typical remediation lesson. Like the O-G approach, the games are systematic, sequential, explicit and multisensory. They also provide additional motivation, engagement, and reward following a "drill-to-skill" activity.
$12 - Includes cards, dice, and stickers, but without a box to keep the cost down.
$18 - Cards, dice, and stickers packaged in a sturdy and attractive box.
A couple of months ago, I attended an online seminar by Philip and Lorna Wooldridge – all about the use of games in teaching. I was
presently surprised at the end of the program, when names were drawn, to find that I was to be the recipient of a game addressing the “Cat / Kite Rule”.
I have played the game with a number of students, since the concept is rather tricky for most, and they have enjoyed the simplicity – as well as building confidence through being able to create words with the dice and card combinations.
I find value in the use of games, during my teaching time, because I feel that they keep kids alert and growing, while giving them something to look forward to.
Thank you for sending the game! I will be using it for a long time (and secretly having as much fun with it as my students).
